People loves truffle frostings (chocolate ones) and it's easy to understand, why? But sometimes people need a frosting which is lil' bit lighter than chocolate ganache.
That's where whipped cream frosting comes in. Whether it's much easier to spread on a delight cake and is something which is less sweet. A stabilized whipped cream can help you make a cake of your dreams.
HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM
1. COLD HEAVY CREAM: The colder the cream, the more successful it will whip. Cold cream creates the lightest whipped cream. For more better results, we can even chill the mixing bowl and whisk attachment in the freeze for about 30mins.
2. WHIP HEAVY CREAM, VANILLA EXTRACT ON MEDIUM-HIGH SPEED: Whipping the cream at medium speed till it gets soft peaks, and then at high speed till it is nicely whipped. Only whipping at high speed or low speed easily over whips or under whips the cream respectively.
3. OBSERVE FOR MEDIUM PEAKS: Whipped cream only takes a couple minutes, but it's only take few seconds between soft whipped cream and over whipped cream. Over whipped cream is curdled whereas soft whipped cream has a smooth texture. Don't be afraid to stop the beater and check the consistency of your whipped cream as you go.

1. Can we make whipped cream frosting ahead of time?
Unlike other frostings, such as chocolate ganache or cheese cake frosting, this stabilized whipped cream frosting needs to be made just before we use it.
2. How long can we store whipped cream?
When you are done with your cake frosting you can store your remaining whipped cream in refrigerator for 2-3 days in a air tight box.
3. Can we pipe this frosting onto cakes and cupcakes?
YES! Whipped cream hold it's shape well so it is perfect for piping onto cakes or cupcakes. Also, it looks quite pretty after being piped and would be great foe rosettes too.
4. Can we add flavorings or food coloring?
YES! we can add any flavor as well as color to whipped cream.

5. How to fix over whipped cream?
If you accidently over mix the cream, don't panic. just pour in a little bit more heavy cream and fold it gently by hand with a spatula until it smooths out
