WELCOME TO PRIYANKA's BAKERY: THE CAKERY

I started THE CAKERY 3 years back, in the final year of my graduation with all the academic pressure hovering over but deep down inside I just knew what my calling was. Yes, I am a self taught baker. I've put in so much love, passion and sweat into this.

I remember sleeping at late nights or waking up early in the mornings, baking my cakes and frosting them and then getting ready to go for my college, coming back after about 8-10 hours and again baking for all my orders. However this entire routine followed the next year too when I joined symbiosis, for MBA. I remember spending sleepless days and nights in my kitchen, baking for orders and experimenting. Each and every hour spent in the kitchen and while at work has been so wonderful and fruitful. Every second of my hard work has paid off. When my clients call me, and thank me for baking for them, I do a happy dance. and even after 3 years, every time I get a message I still dance.

In the first picture, you can see at one of my first trial cake and in the second one, you can see the cake from my first order.

I love my work so much. All my cakes and desserts are my babies. Each of them is handcrafted with so much love and passion that you can actually taste all of it in every bite.

When I started baking at 20, it wasn't a cake walk. The first thing I ever whipped up in the kitchen was a disaster. Despite working with pre-mixes and ready made frosting, I landed up with a batch of burnt chocolate breads. That wasn't it. I kept baking one disaster after another. Most of the times the cake was too dense. On other occasions it tasted soapy and sometimes it was completely baked on the top but undone inside. But there was something about baking that did not let me give up on it.

Now when I look back, the journey has been so wonderful. All this would have been impossible without my pillars, my family and all my friends. These people have supported me and have made sure that my dreams and goals are fulfilled. Till date my family especially my sisters, help me out in every way they can, whether it be procuring raw materials, or packing and delivering my cakes and desserts. They always taught me one thing which I follow till now and I believe that its the most important thing too, No matter what you do in life, just make sure you give in your 100%.

Also, I'm thankful to each one of my customers and followers for the unlimited trust they put into me for all their special days and also for all the unmatchable love, support and blessings. You truly have made me the home baker that I am today. Thank you for loving me and THE CAKERY  over all these years and continue loving me.
